Program Timeline

The VSP is a densely-packed program designed to let you experience Canadian education and culture in a short period of time. The program timelines on this page list the typical events and activities planned for our 2024 June and July Sessions.

Please Note

• The program timelines on this page are for your reference only. VSP reserves the right to amend the schedules anytime without notice.

• Your VSP program schedule could be different than what is depicted here depending on the course package you have enrolled. Your Faculty/School/Department will send you the final schedule closer to the program start date.

Arrival and Departure

We strongly encourage you to arrange your flights to arrive to and depart from Vancouver during the first and last three days of the program (arrival and departure periods).

June Session: June 7-9 (arrival); July 5-7 (departure)

July Session: July 12-14 (arrival); August 9-12 (departure)

No events or activities are scheduled during the arrival and departure periods*. Transportation to and from the Vancouver Airport will only run during the arrival and departure periods (to be confirmed).

You can check-in to your assigned residence anytime during the arrival period and use the time to settle down in your home for the next month before the program kicks off on the first Monday.

*Except optional tours at the end of the program. These tours will return to Vancouver before the end of the departure period.

Activities and Optional Tours

Besides VSP Central organized activities (Welcome Event, City Exploration Activity, Sports Day and Grad Studies Information Fair), your Faculty/School/Department and Residence Mentors may also plan additional events and activities anytime during the program.

Optional Tours organized by Merit Travel are available during the weekends and at the end of the program.
