UBC’s Vancouver Summer Program is planning for a return to campus in summer 2022. This aligns with the university’s return to on-campus activity for Winter Session, 2021, Term 1, guided by Provincial Health Officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry as well as public health teams across British Columbia (BC).
We are looking forward to international students joining us on Vancouver Campus after a long hiatus due to the pandemic. At the same time, we also acknowledge that as the situation at UBC and in the province of BC continues to improve, much of the world is still grappling with COVID-19, vaccine distribution, and rising numbers of the Delta variant. We share our concerns with you and will continue to monitor the situation in BC, Canada, and worldwide in order to deliver a safe and successful program.
The health, wellbeing, and safety of the UBC community will remain ours and the university’s top priority. As such, we will continue to take the lead from UBC in our pandemic response. All planning will be informed by the Office of the Provincial Health Officer, the relevant health authorities, and in accordance with BC’s Restart plan and COVID-19 Return-to-Campus Guidelines.
As we transition back to on campus activity, we want to thank each and every student/administrator who has continued to inquire about and express interest in UBC’s Vancouver Summer Program. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude and look forward to seeing students here at UBC Vancouver in summer 2022.
