Brain, Body, and Biology (Neuroscience)

Get to know the brain from the inside out. This foundational course unpacks how neurons communicate, how our senses connect us to the world, and how learning and memory are stored in intricate neural networks. Students will explore how different brain systems work together to produce emotions, guide decision-making, and adapt to changing environments. Key topics include the basics of nervous system anatomy, the biological roots of behavior, and the impacts of substances and disorders on brain function. No prior neuroscience background required—just a curiosity for understanding how biology drives who we are.
