What you might expect/course format
In UBCx AI VSP, students will study two specialized course packages designed to explore key themes in artificial intelligence and its applications in media development and content creation.
Each package consists of two courses taught by expert UBC instructors. With approximately 39 hours of instructional time per course, students engage in both practical and theoretical learning experiences, including hands-on workshops, interactive lectures, and real-world applications. The “AI Fundamentals” course provides a comprehensive exploration of artificial intelligence, covering core concepts, societal impact, and the evolution of AI. Students will gain practical skills in interacting with generative AIs and develop the ability to make well-reasoned predictions about AI’s future evolution.
Students will need a laptop or mobile device that is able to access the online course content in the UBC Canvas learning management system.
